PARTICIPANTS' PROFILES

Valeria Sanchez Naranjo's profile : Valeria Sanchez Naranjo was born on march the 4th of 1998 in the city of Bogotá, Colombia. She is 17 years old and is currently taking second semester classes of civil engineering in the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá. She has blonde hair, Brown eyes and likes to take photos of herself in black and White. In all these photos she is smiling because she always tries to be happy. She is very fond of animals (specially the four-legged ones) and even has got a dog of her own, named Dolly, just like the cloned sheep. She likes to hang out, like most of the people her age, with her friends as well as her boyfriend. His name is Nicolas Urrego. Once she has finished her civil engeering career, she wants to start a master outside the country. Valeria is a very athletic person, she enjoys swimming and does it whenever she can, and has been doing so since she was four years old. Valentina also likes to spend time with her mother and her family and I quote: "if I were to be defined by a single word it would be happiness". She had a great childhood, she played lots of different games with her friends. She also travelled to the Universal Studios, were she was very happy, enjoying the site with her family.
Carlos Esteban Castro Prieto was born on June 20th, 1996 in Clinica Reina Sofia by 11 am. His parents are Carlos Castro and Mabel Prieto. His siblings are Laura Castro and Andres Felipe Castro who lives in Spain. During his childhood his hobbies were painting and animals. His kinder garden was Jardin Rafael Pombo and then he started studying at Corazonista School. His favorites subjects were art and math. He always highlighted in sports. First he played soccer but then in high school he played basketball. In 10th grade he was the captain of the basketball team in the school and that same year he was named as the best sport player in the school. He travelled several times representing the school. He has good memories of those trips with his friends and teammates and has a special memory of his trainer Ronald, who was the person that made him a great basketball player and an excellent person. His best friends are David Pardo, Daniel Torres and Juan Pablo Sanchez and his best female friend is Alejandra Cocoma. In 10th grade he went to England for an exchange in Eastbourne and he travelled along Europe. It was an unforgettable experience, but his best trip was the one he made with his family in South America by boat for a month. There he met some friends from different countries and he enjoyed this time so much. He graduated in 2014 from school. That day was too sad because he left behind a really important place in his life where he had special people. In 2015 he started university and he joined Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. His degree is Civil Engineering, which is a dream came true for him. Since he was a child he wanted to do this. Nowadays he is in second semester and he feels proud of what he is doing.
Tatiana Alvares´s profile. Tatiana is my classmate of the Facultad of Dentistry, at the University Pontificia Javeriana, in second semester. Both started the studies the first half of 2015. She was born in Bogotá, on november 2 of 1998. She is seventeen years old. She finished her secondary education in 2014. She went to CAFAM college. She lives with her parents, and doesn´t have any brothers or sisters, but she has a dog, its name is Pinky, because she loves the dogs. She lives in the neighborhood Ciudadela Colsubsidio.
In her free time, she does homeworks, likes to sleep, or better, she saids “i love to sleep”, and go out with her family. She likes extreme sports, such us, canopy, ecologic walks, climbing wall, tibetan bridge, paint ball, rapelling and canyoning.

In his free time, he loves to eat and go to new restaurants, always looking for new meals and flavors and also different kinds of cuisines, but his favorite thing is to eat ice cream, in the other hand, he also likes to watch movies, dance, exercise or just relax and have fun enjoying every moment of life to the fullest. He graduated from the Academic Educational Institution of course Paipa where most of his school; I graduated on December 7, 2007 and in 2008 entered the University of the Andes to study Industrial Engineering, but retired because he felt good with the race and with the university; In 2010 he entered the Javeriana and completely fell in love.
